I am proud of my delicious and plentiful purple or white tubers (that can be used in soups, stews or baked) and my simple blooms that provide much needed nuishment to pollinators late in the season (October!). I will stand tall, at 8-12 feet, and correct those that call me invasive- sure, I can spread aggressively but North America is my home and, as a native plant, I offer so many benefits to wildlife and people that more of me, more often than not, a good thing.
